During his 36-year career, Shustak has handled and overseen several hundred litigations and arbitrations in federal and state courts and arbitration forums across the country and around the world. In one notable case, Shustak represented a whistle-blower who was ousted from Lehman Brothers after he raised concerns about the company’s accounting practices in 2008. That client was recently interviewed on 60 Minutes for having been the only Lehman executive to openly question the irregularities that ultimately brought down Lehman. “It was satisfying watching our client on 60 Minutes knowing that he did the right thing and that we helped him do it,” notes Shustak.
Shustak credits the firm’s success to its emphasis on client service: “When I started out, my focus was never on getting big clients; it was always on helping one client at a time and doing my best for them. Our focus has never changed.”
