Please join us on Saturday, August 27, 2011 for the 2nd Annual SIA Community Walk/Run. 100% of the funds raised during this year's walk/run will go toward the purchase of playground equipment for Columbian Park that will make the playground accessible for physically challenged children.
The SIA Community Walk/Run is located on the picturesqe grounds of SIA's Recreation Center at 5500 State Road 38 East (East Entrance) in Lafayette, IN.

Runners will enjoy a scenic path through SIA's wooded trails and around beautiful ponds and prairieland. All of SIA's 832-acre site has been designated a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. So, along the way, runners may catch a glimpse of some of the native animals that reside in the habitat areas.
Walkers can choose from a paved trail that circles the athletic fields at SIA or a nature walk throught SIA's wooded trails.
Following the walk/run, participants and volunteers are invited to enjoy fantastic, FREE food and live entertainement in the SIA Pavilion. In addition, medals will be awarded to every 5K Run participant with special medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female runners.
It is always advisable to consult your doctor before starting a new exercise regime, including walking or running. All participants will be required to sign a liabiltiy waiver before the walk/run. Participants under the age of 18 must also have a parent/legal guardian sign the liability waiver.
