1. Dinner tonight! Eggs Benedict

Eggs for dinner? You bet! Sometimes there's nothing more comforting than a plate of eggs Benedict -- poached eggs nestled on top of Canadian bacon on a toasted muffin half and doused with rich Hollandaise. Pair it with a nice glass of wine, and it's a perfect way to end the day. Cheers!

  5. Dinner tonight! Hearty vegetable soup

If you're looking for a simple dinner that will help to stave off the chilly wet weather, look no further than Coral Tree Cafe's vegetable soup. Fresh vegetables simmered with barley in a hearty broth, it makes for a perfect one-dish meal. What's more, you might not even notice it's vegetarian. (Of course, you can add some meat or doctor the ingredients to suit your taste.) You can find the recipe here.

  7. Dinner tonight! Watercress and Stilton soup

Barely wilted watercress lends a wonderful shade of green to this soup, rich with Stilton cheese and garnished with toasted pecans. It makes a wonderful first course or light meal, and the whole dish comes together in about an hour.

  15. Chefs roam the globe for fun and research

I remember the stories -- L.A. chefs renting fast cars and and doing a Michelin three-star restaurant blitz through France. Ten restaurants in five days. Wallowing in foie gras, truffles, baby lamb, Brittany lobsters and newborn vegetables. Not to mention the phenomenal wines that the merry bunch put away at considerable expense. It was indulgence and luxe all the way. Posh country hotels and on occasion the Ritz.
