Halloween is an easy holiday to plan events for because it's... inherently fun. Costumes, dead stuff and candy are an easy sell for people of all ages. It's compelling material. There are many ways to celebrate all things spooky this season. Mystical Parlors in SoNo (17 Washington St., Norwalk) is hosting a multi-media lecture by paranormal researcher Jeff Belanger on Saturday night, for one. The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be screened at local theater screens large (the Maritime Aquarium's IMAX theater (10 N. Water St., Norwalk. Sat. Oct. 27, 8 & 11 p.m.), medium (The Avon, 272 Bedford St., Stamford. Thu., Oct. 25, 9 p.m.) and small (The Fez, 227 Summer St., Stamford. Fri., Oct. 26) for both virgins and veterans alike. Dress to impress. A good corset will do if you don't own full-Frankenfurter gear. Speaking of the Maritime Aquarium's IMAX theater, it will also hold a screening of Young Frankenstein on Sun., Oct. 28 at 7:45 p.m. On Halloween night however, we recommend checking out local Latin heroes Cosmic Jibaros (pictured) at the good ol' Acoustic Café (2926 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport. Wed., Oct. 31, 9 p.m.).
