One minute of history may earn a year's admission to the history center and recognition at the Florida Film Festival via the One-Minute History Video contest announced by the Orange County Regional History Center.
The competition seeks "smart, surprising, fun videos" that reflect Central Florida history using the museum's exhibits. The finish products must be family-friendly and include footage shot at the history center.
The winner, selected by a panel of judges, and a guest will be invited to attend the Florida Film Festival's Sneak Preview party on March 9. The winner also will receive a one-year membership to the Orange County Regional History Center.
The top video will appear on the history center's website and be considered for screening on the film festival's website.
Deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m., Feb. 22, 2011.
