Clanton scored 36 points on 15-of-19 shooting against the Pirates, the most scored by a UCF player since 2009. The senior averaged 24 points and 10.5 rebounds in UCF’s two games last week.
“This is a well-deserved honor for Keith,” UCF head coach Donnie Jones said in a release. “I was very proud of Keith at East Carolina. He was aggressive and we really looked to establish him offensively.”
Clanton leads the C-USA in scoring, averaging 17.8 points per game and is second in rebounds per game (9.8). It is the Orlando native’s second player of the week honor of the year, and the fifth of his career.
