Israeli leaders emerged from a long weekend of the Jewish New Year and Sabbath to denounce speeches delivered at the United Nations General Assembly last week by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. In a statement Saturday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Rouhani’s remarks “deceptive” and accused Abbas of inflammatory speech.
