  3. Kevin Lighty

Dreams do come true. I know because I'm living my childhood dream. I grew up in a very small town in Indiana named Veedersburg. I've had a fascination with weather as far back as I can remember to my days as a 4 year old boy that watched storms from my living room window. I was so intrigued by what was going on but at the same time so scared watching these storms to a point that tears would run down my face from being frightened, but nothing could tear me away from watching these storms no matter how scared I might have been. Soon the fear turned into pure passion for the love of weather. I would constantly monitor other TV station forecasts and I always looked forward to the days that would bring bad weather to my area.

  9. Shepherd Holcombe: A Passion For Hartford And Its History

Some families are peripatetic and don't stay physically close to grandparents, or even parents or the places where they grew up. In a country of immigrants, many do not even know where their ancestors first settled. But some people find themselves, generations later, closely connected to a place, its history, its people.
