French designer Madeleine Fontaine knew she had little leeway stylizing the costumes for “Jackie,” a film exploring the fragmented emotions of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy (played by Natalie Portman) during the tumultuous days following the president’s assassination in November 1963.
