Paris Fashion Week: Roland Mouret makes a pitch

French-born, London-based designer Roland Mouret, who gained international attention in August with the release of his cheap chic collection of strappy sheaths for chain retailer Banana Republic, made a sales pitch at his show at Paris Fashion Week on Thursday morning. It was a sales pitch for his namesake New York store, his first in the U.S., opening Nov. 14 at 952 Madison Ave.

In the show notes, he went so far as to write that the collection was dedicated to 952 Madison. "I feel I am at the point where I am closest with my customer."
