The Miami Dolphins' already-thin offensive line suffered another blow as the team placed projected starting right guard Artis Hicks on the injured reserve list.

Hicks, a 10-year veteran, was placed on IR with an undisclosed neck injury, ending his season.

To take his spot on the roster, the Dolphins re-signed tackle Ray Feinga, who was released on Friday when the team had to cut 22 players to finalize the 53-man roster.

Feinga has spent the last three seasons on and off the Dolphins' practice squad and active roster.

John Jerry is expected to replace Hicks as the team's starting right guard.

Hicks, 33, signed a one-year, $1.49 million deal with the Dolphins in the offseason to replace Vernon Carey, who has since retired. Hicks has played in 118 NFL games, including 71 starts.

He has played for the Philadelphia Eagles (2002-05), Minnesota Vikings (2006-09), Washington Redskins (2010) and Cleveland Browns (2011).
