Former major league players and celebrities will participate Saturday in a charity baseball game to raise money for children. Proceeds will help fund a new oncology unit at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood.
The 21st annual Joe DiMaggio Legends Game, played at Ft. Lauderdale Stadium, will feature Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson and Orlando Cepeda. The field will also include former Marlin Andre Dawson and star sluggers George Foster and Dick Allen.
Max Weinberg, from Bruce Springsteen's "E" Street Band, will play at the event. Weinberg appears nightly on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased by calling Fort Lauderdale Stadium at 954-776-1921. Bleacher seats will cost you $3, and children under 12 get in free.
