Jordan Mein, who fought on 2014 UFC Orlando card, retires at 25

Jordan Mein, who grabbed a UFC victory last year at Amway Center as part of his nine-year MMA career, announced his retirement Wednesday. The welterweight is only 25, but after 39 career pro fights, he is “burnt out” and has “lost that fire” to compete, according to Ariel Helwani of Fox Sports. Mein, a Canadian, beat Hernani Perpetuo by split decision on the undercard of the UFC on Fox card in April 2014. In his last fight, he lost to Thiago Alves in January by knockout from a body kick.
