Schumacher Racing brings out the brooms again

Another year, another Don Schumacher Racing sweep at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet. This time it was Tommy Johnson Jr., and Tony Schumacher who reigned in the NHRA's nitro classes Sunday at the Lucas Oil Route 66 Nationals. Johnson turned the tables on Matt Hagan in a rematch of the 2014 Funny Car finals, beating his DSR teammate when Hagan smoked his tires at the start of the race. Tony Schumacher prevailed over Larry Dixon in the Top Fuel finale with a surge in the second half of the run.
