Dodgers' Joc Pederson makes Pacific Coast League history

With a stolen base on Saturday night, Joc Pederson, one of the Dodgers' top prospects, made minor league history.  Pederson, an outfielder for Triple-A Albuquerque, became the first player in 80 years to steal 30 bases and hit 30 home runs in the Pacific Coast League with his steal in the sixth inning at Colorado Springs. Only four players in the PCL have had a 30-30 season, with the last by Frank Demaree in 1934. Demaree died in 1958, 34 years before Pederson was born.  The only other Dodger minor leaguer to have a 30-30 season is Chin-Feng Chen, who hit 31 home runs and stole 31 bases for Class-A San Bernardino in 1999.
