Arizona puts Zack Greinke on DL

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed ace right-hander Zack Greinke on the 15-day disabled list Sunday because of a left oblique strain suffered Tuesday. The former Dodgers and Angels pitcher, 10-3 with a 3.62 ERA, is on the DL for the first time in three years. 


Washington put starter Joe Ross on the DL with right shoulder inflammation, concurrent with the activation of ace Stephen Strasburg, who pitched Sunday for the first time since June 15. . . .
