1. History of deals involving Orioles at the trade deadline

The trade deadline can be a dangerous temptress.
    The Baltimore Sun
The trade deadline can be a dangerous temptress. At times, it can cause otherwise levelheaded organizations to do something crazy. Like trade away Jeff Bagwell for Larry Anderson. Or give up Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee and Brandon Phillips for Bartolo...

The company was in the midst of developing a project called “Copernicus,” an MMORPG based in the same universe as “Amalur.” Big Huge Games, based in Timonium, became a subsidiary of 38 Studios almost three years ago to the day.

Credit the Cubs for keeping Jamie Moyer in uniform. He tried the game once as a spectator, and he didn't like it. "One time I went to Wrigley Field for a playoff game and sat in the seats with the fans,'' Moyer said. "It was strange. I thought I was...

  13. Reader Q&A: Mark Gonzales' White Sox mailbag

Ken Williams has the enviable position of seemingly being the only Chicago executive immune from the pressure to win and perform. In recent years we have seen all the Chicago franchises clean house. The Chairman needs to pocket his loyalty and let Williams go and bring in a new philosophy. I don't mean elevating Rick Hahn, either. There is a reason Hahn is still with the Sox. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing how wonderful is everyone in the Sox's organization. The chamber of commerce pitch delivered by those such as Hawk Harrelson and Steve Stone and others is insulting to knowledgeable fans. How many more years do Sox fans have to tolerate more of the same? How many more years does Williams get? -- Mike Major; Granger, Ind.
