Navy's Gillingham strikes out first 12 batters of game

Navy junior starting pitcher Luke Gillingham struck out the first 12 batters of the game as Navy opened its baseball season with an 8-1 rout of North Carolina A&T on Friday in temperatures in the low 30s in Greensboro, N.C. Gillingham struck out 16 and allowed one hit in seven innings. The 16 strikeouts are the most by a Midshipmen since 1986 and tie him for fifth all time with Chuck Davis (1959) and Dennis Losh (1969).
