  5. Orioles and Nationals Playoff Schedule

The playoff picture is finally clear for the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals now that the regular season is over. Thanks to Wednesday Night's 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay, the Orioles come up short in their bid to overtake the Yankees in the AL East division. Instead, the O's earn one of two wildcard berths in the American League along with the Texas Rangers. Both teams finish with identical 93-69 records but the Rangers will host the one-game wildcard playoff game Friday Night because they have a better head-to-head record than Baltimore. The game in Arlington, Texas will start at 8:30pm Friday. The winner will then host the Yankees in a best-of-five American League Division Series set to begin on Sunday. Games 1 and 2 would be at Camden Yards Sunday and Monday if the Orioles win. Games 3, 4 and 5 if necessary would take place in New York Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
