ON THE MOUND: Clayton Kershaw limited the Giants to three runs and seven hits over seven innings. The only real mistake he made was in the seventh inning, when he hung a curveball to Brandon Hicks, who sent it over the left-field wall for a two-run home run. Chris Withrow gave up a run in the eighth inning that increased the Dodgers' deficit to 4-2. Closer Kenley Jansen's three-run 10th inning included two walks and a wild pitch. AT THE PLATE: Hanley Ramirez tied the score at 4-4 and sent the game into extra innings with a two-run, ninth-inning home run off Giants closer Sergio Romo.
