Tony La Russa has added buying a home to his busy offseason. The Diamondbacks executive, who made quick work of finding a new manager and general manager earlier this offseason, has purchased a home in Monrovia for $717,500. Originally built in 1951, the updated Rancher features a chef’s kitchen, a dining room, a living room with a fireplace, three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in nearly 1,800 square feet of living space. Among updates is an enlarged master suite, which has raised ceilings, maple cabinetry and built-in bookcases with a library ladder.
