Meet Carl Lahr, the man who put the wind in the Clippers' sales

Carl Lahr sold for the Clippers during their darkest days — literally. When Lahr joined the team as a ticket salesman in San Diego in 1981, the folks who ran the San Diego Sports Arena wouldn’t turn on the lights during the day, so Lahr would have to show potential ticket-holders their seats in the dark.
