No. 6 Maryland snaps two-game skid with an 86-82 win over Michigan

Robert Carter scored 17 points and sixth-ranked Maryland bounced back from consecutive losses to defeat Michigan, 86-82, on Sunday in College Park, Md.

Jake Layman had 16 points and Melo Trimble scored 13 for Maryland (23-5, 11-4 Big Ten). Freshman center Diamond Stone finished with 13 points after being suspended for the previous game by Maryland Coach Mark Turgeon for a flagrant foul against Wisconsin.

Mark Donnal shot 10 for 13 from the field and scored 25 points for Michigan (19-9, 9-6), which made 13 of 27 three-point shots.
