Taking advantage of a day off for LeBron James, the Washington Wizards defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, 113-99, on Sunday in Washington behind John Wall's 21 points, 13 assists and seven rebounds.
Wall made eight of 11 shots. At one point late in the third quarter, Wall had 12 assists, the same total as the Cavaliers. He sat out the fourth quarter.
Leading by nine points after the first half, the Wizards broke things open with a 9-0 run to start the second half, taking a 72-54 lead on a three-point basket by Otto Porter Jr., who finished with 21 points.
The Wizards have a five-game winning streak at home.
