The St. Louis Rams pushed the pause button on Michael Sam's NFL dreams Saturday, waiving the rookie defensive lineman in their final wave of cuts in advance of their season opener. Sam, the first openly gay player to be drafted by an NFL team, failed to make the 53-man roster but could still be signed to the club's 10-man practice squad.
