Football: Gardena Serra has QB competition going into passing tourney

Gardena Serra is among several schools that still have competitions taking place for starting quarterback going into Saturday's seven on seven passing tournament at Central Park in Saugus. Competing for the job are junior Khalil Tate, the backup last season to Jalen Greene, and senior Caleb Wilson, a transfer from Georgia who's the son of Chris Wilson, USC's new defensive line coach. Tate is one of Serra's fastest players and also has a strong arm. Wilson is 6 feet 4 and a pinpoint passer. Both should play on Saturday.
