The Baltimore Ravens selected Ed Reed with the 24th pick in the 2002 draft. Playing the safety position, he was named the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press in 2004. During that season, Reed intercepted a league-leading and franchise-record nine passes and set an NFL record by returning the interceptions 358 yards, including a 106-yard return against the Cleveland Browns.
