1. NFL draft preview: Wide receivers

You won't find a Julio Jones or A.J. Green in this draft. There is no "can't miss" wide receiver. But you will find extraordinary depth. Teams are likely to be taking many receivers in the fifth, sixth and seventh rounds, and there will be a bonanza of...

3. Tavon Austin, other random NFL combine thoughts

The NFL’s annual pre-draft meat market wraps up Tuesday, but one of the players generating the most buzz at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis was former Dunbar star Tavon Austin. 5. Reader Q&A: Dan Pompei's Bears mailbag

This year Gabe Carimi obviously looked nothing like the guy the Bears drafted out of Wisconsin in the 2011 draft. I have recently heard a lot of criticism aimed at Carimi. However, I think what some people don't realize is that Carimi has basically only played one year in the NFL because of the knee injury he suffered in week 2 of his rookie season. Is it possible that during this season Carimi was still recovering from the knee injury? If not, do you think he will ever develop into the tackle the Bears thought they were getting when they drafted him in the first round? -- Peter, Chicago

Ravens 28, Patriots 13
Ravens 28, Patriots 13 Strategy: The Ravens' winning equation in the AFC championship was provided by fast-paced no-huddle, shotgun concepts and enough runs to keep the Patriots honest. Play-action was effective, particularly in the second half when Joe...

TAMPA — There are lots of ways to spin a one-point loss.
TAMPA — There are lots of ways to spin a one-point loss. Was the difference an 80-yard catch and run from Matt Ryan to Julio Jones? A botched but makable 56-yard field-goal try by Conner Barth in the closing minutes? Having to settle for field...
