Eli Manning is the New York Giants’ starting quarterback this week, just like he’s been for 210 of the team’s last 211 games.
The two-time Super Bowl MVP was benched last week after the Giants’ 2-9 start to the season. That turned out to be one of moves made by then-coach Ben McAdoo before he was fired on Sunday.
Interim coach Steve Spagnuolo announced Wednesday the Giants were going back to Manning after his replacement last week, Geno Smith, completed 21 of 34 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in a 24-17 loss to the Oakland Raiders.
