Local Roundup: Michigan City, South Bend Washington football teams put on probation

IHSAA Commissioner Bobby Cox announced on Tuesday that Michigan City and South Bend Washington's football teams were put on probation for the rest of the season because of an incident at Friday's game between the two schools. The game, which was ruled a double forfeit, was stopped at the end of the first half after players from both teams were involved in a skirmish on the sidelines. The incident occurred after a Washington player was called for a late hit, according to the News Dispatch of Michigan City.
