Al Blount is eager to get started at Medical Academy Charter School

There is a new school on the local sports scene, but the program will be led by a familiar face. Former Dieruff High standout and Bethlehem Catholic, Lincoln and Pen Argyl boys basketball coach Al Blount is excited about his new job as the athletic director and boys basketball coach at Medical Academy Charter School in Catasauqua. Medical Academy is located in the old Lincoln School in Catasauqua. Lincoln Gym is where the legendary Larry Miller played his games while attending Catty in the early 1960s. And he'd like to get the word out that his program is looking for games. "I am very excited to be hired as the athletic director at Medical Charter School," he said....
