Flyers storm past Blues

PHILADELPHIA — The place was only a little over half-full but those fans who braved Thursday's storm let out a roar like it was a playoff game. And for the Flyers, this game almost had the urgency of a postseason contest. Trailing by a goal in the third period against the St. Louis Blues, the Flyers struck for goals from Michael Del Zotto (9:47) and Wayne Simmonds (11:36) to help produce a 3-1 win at the Wells Fargo Center. With the win, the Flyers move to within four points of Boston, which lost to Calgary in a shootout. The Flyers meet the Bruins in Boston on Saturday afternoon.
