    John Brennan--the President's chief advisor on counter-terrorism--may have grown up in New Jersey….but he defended New York's police commissioner Friday against recent attacks from New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, about the NYPD's surveillance of some Muslim residents in the Garden State.  "My conversations with Commissioner Kelly indicate he's done everything according to the law," Brennan said, after a speech at police headquarters in downtown Manhattan.
