Enfield is a suburb located in Hartford County, 18 miles north of Hartford and 18 miles south of Springfield, Mass. Enfield was named and incorporated by the Colony of Massachusetts in 1683 and annexed to Connecticut in 1749. The town is comprised of 33.8 square miles with a population of approximately 45,000 residents.
