Alabama soldier to be buried in Trussville

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- Funeral services for an Alabama soldier
killed in Iraq will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon in
Trussville. Sergeant Jean Paul Medlin was among six U-S soldiers
killed in a roadside bombing in Baghdad on May 19th.
Medlin, who was 27, was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division at
Fort Hood, Texas, and deployed to Iraq last October.
Family members said Medlin was a former U-S Marine who rejoined
the military again after the U-S invaded Iraq.
Visitation will be held at Ridout's Trussville Chapel today from
1 p-m until 6 p-m.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p-m tomorrow. Burial with
full military honors will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery in
