ATHENS, Ala. (AP) -- During his visit to Alabama tomorrow,
President Bush plans to recognize a Huntsville man and a Mobile
woman for their dedication to volunteer service.
Don Clark of Huntsville is a volunteer with a variety of
community organizations, including The Salvation Army, CASA, the
United Way of Madison County and the Volunteer Center of Madison
Doctor Debbie Gardner of Mobile, a pediatric physician,
volunteers with the Medical Society of Mobile County, the Medical
Reserve Corps and Camp Rap-A-Hope.
Bush honors local volunteers when he travels throughout the
country to thank them for making a difference in the lives of
others, the White House said in a statement yesterday
Bush's Alabama visit is also set to include a tour of the Browns
Ferry Nuclear Plant in Athens shortly after 1 p-m, where he will
make remarks about energy initiatives.
Then he goes to Mobile to attend a
one-thousand-dollar-per-person fund-raising reception for
Republican U-S Senator Jeff Sessions. That's at 5 p-m.
