  1. Storm Team 12: Hit and miss storm chances

    Plenty of clouds will be around Kansas today.  Showers and storms however, will be rather hit and miss.  The best chance to see storms will be in northwest Kansas and don't be shocked if some severe weather develops there.  Large hail and high winds will be the main concerns but an isolated tornado can't be ruled out either. Highs will be mostly in the 70s, with a few 80s in southwest Kansas.

    Falling temperatures… The cold front that brought us the soggy weather yesterday is on its way out. We will have a few leftover showers today with a mix of mostly to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be cooler, with highs in the low 70s. If you are a fan off cool weather then you will like the weekend. Expect a nice mixture of sun and clouds with highs in the low 70s for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. We will warm back into the 80s by midweek.

    <span style="font-size: small;">A few storms in south central Kansas this evening will move out of the area by sunset. Other storms will develop later tonight on a widely scattered basis. That will continue to be the case right through the holiday weekend. Dry most of the time interrupted by periods of showers and thunderstorms. No widespread severe weather is expected but the occasional storm could produce some quarter size hail and winds of 50-60 mph. High temperatures will be in the 70s on Friday. The rest of the weekend will find readings in the 80s over central and eastern Kansas with some 90s likely in the west. There will be another chance for thunderstorms coming our way on Wednesday.</span>
