The family and friends of Amanda Peters are organizing a benefit at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, IL on Saturday Sept. 17th 2011. The purpose of the benefit is to help raise money to assist the family in paying present and future medical bills or any other needs that Amanda may require. Amanda has undergone many, many surgeries in her young life. Amanda was diagnosed at the age of 7 with a rare form of Spina Bifida, Lipomyelomenigocele. This could be a simple diagnosis, but for Amanda she has the "worse case scenario" for every aspect of this disease. Amanda had her first surgery at the age of 7 and has had over 50 since.
