You don't have to spend a lot of money to have a weekend of fun. In this week's Family PIX, we go back in time to the romance of the 20's, tackle teen issues and even get some exercise!
Friday is International Youth Day. It's an awareness day where people across the globe---and in our boroughs---celebrate children.
The East River Amphitheater is holding a celebration from noon to 3 PM. In addition to performances, there will be sports clinics, face painting and other free events. The annual bash will also highlight important issues many children face, such as peer pressure and bullying.

Or just take a free ferry to Governer's Island for The Jazz Age Lawn Party. The event is sponsored by Michael Arenella and his Dreamland Orchestra. It's from 11 AM to 5 PM and highlights the music, fashion and literature of the Jazz-Age. There will be vintage fashion, drinks, dancing and more! Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door for adults and kids are free.

On Sunday, if the kids don't know how to ride a bike, take them to the Brooklyn Bridge Park for free lessons. The group class is sponsored by Bike & Roll and kicks off at 10 AM. So kick off their training wheels and let the good times roll!
