Rapper 50 Cent
suffered neck and back injuries early Tuesday after his vehicle was rear ended by a truck on the Long Island Expressway
The accident, which was first reported by his own website Thisis50.com, unraveled when a Mack truck smashed the rear of his bullet-proof SUV causing it to flip.
The rapper whose real name is Curtis Jackson
, was transported by stretcher to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for injuries described as minor. He has since been released and is "doing fine," a spokesperson confirmed.
As a precaution, the rapper left the hospital with a neck brace, his website reported.
No serious injuries were reported.
