CHICAGO, I.L..(WPIX) -- There are new reports that Knicks center Eddy Curry has an even deeper connection to the tragic, double murder of his ex-girlfriend Nova Henry, and her 10-month old daughter, Ava.
According to a report in The Chicago Sun Times, DNA tests have determined that Curry was Ava's father. The infant apparently shared a last name with Fredrick Goings, the man relatives believe is responsible for the murders, sources say.
Goings, the ex-boyfriend whom Nova Henry had a restraining order against, was questioned by police but hasn't been charged.
Curry is also the father of Henry's 3-year-old son, Noah who reports say witnessed the slayings Saturday evening. Noah, who was left unharmed, allegedly told relatives that "Fred did it."
The Sun-Times also revealed Curry had been paying Henry $6,000 a month in child support for Noah. That amount went up to $15,000 a month after it was determined he was also the father of Ava.
Lawyers involved in the case say that Curry is expected to be given custody of Noah but there is no word on whether they have been reunited yet.
Curry is married and has four children with his wife, Patricia. The Knicks have granted Curry an open-ended leave of absence to cope with the family tragedy.
