Two teenage boys were shot, one fatally, early Thursday morning in the Bronx, authorities said.

According to police, responding officers arrived at the corner of Wheeler and Westchester Avenues in Soundview just before 2 a.m. where they found the wounded young men.

One of the victims, an 18-year-old, was discovered with a gunshot wound to his head. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

The other victim, a 19-year-old, suffered a gunshot to his torso. He was transported to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

The identity of the 18-year-old is pending family notification.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
