NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut's professional tennis and golf tournaments are teaming up in an effort to sell more tickets.
The Pilot Pen Tennis tournament and the Travelers Championship
have announced they will be selling some joint ticket packages this
The Family Package will allow fans two purchase two one-day
adult tickets and unlimited kids tickets to the Travelers and four
tickets to the Aug. 23 matches at the Pilot Pen.
The $150 deal also will include parking, a $40 food and beverage
voucher and program or poster.
The tournaments also are offering corporate sponsors deals on
spots at both tournaments.
Tournament directors Nathan Grube and Anne Worcester say it just
made sense in a tough economic climate to team up.
