The Bears hosted the Carmel Greyhounds Friday night in a scrimmage that had both teams showing off their strengths.
It wouldn't take long for the Greyhounds to get revenge though.
On the following series, which involved both teams getting ten chances to score from ten yards out, Carmel kept Lawrence Central scoreless. Then with the ball in their hands, they put on an offensive clinic.
Jalen Duncan scored twice from just a minimal of yards out, and then Senior quarterback Brandon Denning found Devin Cook for the third score of the series.
Both squads continued to scrimmage throughout the rest of the night, but the real games start next Friday. Carmel will open up their season at Columbus North, while the Bears are also on the road to Lawrence North.
