The hot weather wouldn't keep basketball enthusiasts from teeing it off on Monday afternoon.
Despite temperatures in the mid-90s, over 100 people came to Noblesville's Pebble Brook Golf Course to play in the 21st annual Ameriana Hall of Fame Golf tournament.
The event benefits the Indiana basketball Hall of Fame and featured a number of members from the Hall of Fame along with other celebrities from the area.
On Monday that included Pacers head coach Frank Vogel, former Indiana star Quinn Buckner, and Indiana football and basketball play-by-play announcer Don Fischer.
"It's been a lot of fun," said Fischer of the event, which he's participated in most of the previous fundraising tournaments. "They've moved it to Pebble Brook now and its a much faster pace than it used to be and I think everybody enjoys that."
For Vogel, who was recently named the head coach of the Pacers, its another chance to familiarize himself with the state's rich basketball history.
"Everyone knows how much I respect the State of Indiana and what basketball means to people here," said Vogel. "To play with some of these guys and to be apart of this Hall of Fame outing its pretty special."
