The biggest buzz surrounding local teams is clearly at Arlington in Sectional 10.

Three of the state's top ten teams - No. 3 Lawrence North (21-2), No. 4 North Central (21-1) and No. 7 Cathedral (20-2) - are all in the same sectional. Fair? Just ask North Central.

The Panthers play Cathedral Tuesday night in Sectional 10's most brutal first-round match up.

Arlington isn't the only local sectional site with stiff competition. The six-team Noblesville Sectional is shaping up to be one of the state's toughest.

It would appear that streaking Zionsville (17-2) has the edge, but not so fast. Despite winning 11 straight games entering Tuesday's match up with Noblesville, a look at the Eagle's sectional history would state otherwise.

Zionsville has not won a boys sectional since 1995. Even worse - it has been seven years since the Eagles have won a sectional game.

Five of the six teams in Sectional 9, including Zionsville, are above .500: Carmel (14-5), Hamilton Southeastern (13-6), Fishers (11-8) and Noblesville (11-8).

Carmel beat Zionsville in February by 16 points. The Greyhounds are the only team in Sectional 9 that beat Zionsville this season.

Here is a list of area boys teams playing sectional games, Tuesday, March 3.
