The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is awaiting test results to see if human remains found in Carroll County belong to a man missing for almost a year.
The Logansport man, Vidal Nicholas Miguel, hasn't been seen since the end of November.
His wife says they were having marital problems and the last time she saw him he was very intoxicated, upset and walking toward the Eel River near 18th Street in Logansport.
At Cole Hardwood, where Miguel worked for several years, managers believe he returned to his home country of Guatemala.
"He was a good worker and a good person you just hope it's not his remains they found in the Wabash. I think he went back home," Randy Cole told FOX 59 News.
Christopher's wife, Tabitha Miguel, hopes he returns to be with the two children he had with her and the daughter he had with another Logansport woman.
The DNR investigators are confident they will know if the remains belong to Miguel after DNA testing is completed.
