Cody Griffin was charged with battery with injury to a child less than 14-years-old, a Class D felony, on February 2.
Griffin was also arrested in October on a charge of battery resulting in bodily injury for allegedly throwing the baby’s mother to the ground by her hair. He is also charged with battery for allegedly punching the same woman in the eye back in June.
Police said Griffin has been arrested a total of 11 times since 2010 by the Union City Police Department. Five of the arrests stemmed from domestic battery charges.
He is being held in the Randolph County jail under a $5,000 bond.
Child Protective Services continues to investigate. The baby is currently with the mother.
