A travel website ranks Indianapolis as one of the top cities in the world for biking.
The Circle City finds itself among some lofty company, including Amsterdam, Netherlands; Bogota, Columbia; Cape Town, South Africa; and Montreal, Quebec, according to the website away.com.
The website called Indy a “bustling heartland metropolis” that goes “out of its way to cater to cyclists, both local and visiting.” Highlights included 64 miles of bike lanes and plans to add even more over the next decade. The website also made note of the Cultural Trail and the Monon Trail.
The website commended Indianapolis for having a smooth ride, and applauded the public art displays along the way. The author highlighted “stunning skyline views” while riding through White River State Park.
