WARMER FINISH TO THE WEEKEND
Saturday opened chilly across central Indiana. Officially the low temperature dipped to 50° in the city with many area temps falling into the upper 40s. Some cool locations include Marion and Muncie at 45°, 46° at Zionsville and Bloomington.
This was the coolest in the city since early June – when the low dipped to 49°
Temps are on the rebound for Sunday afternoon, as a south breeze takes hold. Saturday reached 74° and area temps could climb as high as the upper 70’s by late afternoon. Great weather for the Colts home opener – sure open up the roof. Forecast high temps should reach the upper 70’s by late afternoon.
NEXT SYSTEM ARRIVES MONDAY – BIG COOL OFF TUESDAY
Skies will turn cloudy Monday with showers likely to develop during the day. A strong cold front will sweep the state late Monday night bringing an end to the warm up. Rainfall amounts may average about .25” and diminish early Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to fall and hold steady in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s Tuesday afternoon then dive into the upper 30’s away from the city early Wednesday. The official low forecast is 42° for the city – coolest since May 10th!
